Job Overview - General Summary:
The Bidtender will help guide patients and customers through their purchasing process. The goal is to assure that everyone who shops at Aura feels welcomed and if needed, helps educate them through their cannabis purchasing experience. The ideal candidate must maintain strict cash and inventory controls that ensure compliance with all OCR regulations and the internal policies of the organization.
The Customer Associate is required to be up to date on the development of new products, consumption methods, accessories, news, culture, and events to do their job effectively.
Responsibilities:
· Greet patients and customers enthusiastically.
· Provide education on the difference between products, strains, consumption methods and accessories.
· Stay informed of all products offered, menu changes and all deals offered in-store.
· Listen to and help customers with all available choices and assist them in making well-informed decisions with their purchases.
· Maintain an efficient order processing flow.
· Ensure all customers have the correct credentials & forms of identification to purchase products.
· Perform inventory checks at the beginning/end and throughout the shift that ensures compliance and theft prevention.
· Assist with inventory management, counting and audits as needed.
· Assist with filling orders as needed for the e-commerce and home delivery team.
· Assist with new patient intake, reception, and ID checks.
· Must be able to operate and troubleshoot multiple forms of computer software/hardware and POS machines.
· Accountable and considerate of time and how it is managed across departments.
· Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors, managers, and colleagues.
· Perform opening and closing duties including cleaning and stocking.
· Answer phones when no one else is able to.
· Perform Ad hoc duties as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
· Must be 21+
· High school or equivalent, associate degree, technical education or specialty training preferred.
· Accountable, reliable, and trustworthy.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Retail experience with the ability to tactfully upsell.
· Technologically savvy.
· Excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
· Excellent cash management and counting skills.
· Attention to detail and the ability to efficiently multitask.
· Ability to stand for 7 hours at a time.
· Able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
· Experience with making and receiving phone calls.
· Ability to effectively resolve customer conflicts.
· Ability to learn new tasks and grow within the industry.
· Cannabis and retail experience preferred.
