American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant with at least 1 year of OR experience for a 13-week hospital-based position at a Level II Trauma Center.

Work in a 15-room OR suite at a Level II Trauma Center

Surgical specialties include Neuro, General/Trauma, Robotics, Ortho, ENT, Vascular, GYN, GI, and Plastics
-
Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Minimum of 1 year of OR experience as a Surgical Assistant required

CSFA or CSA credential required

CSA licensure through the Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) required

BLS certification required

License required if applicable

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Provide first-assist support across a broad range of surgical specialties including neuro, trauma, robotics, orthopedics, ENT, vascular, GYN, GI, and plastics

Assist surgeons during invasive procedures by maintaining the sterile field, controlling bleeding, and facilitating exposure throughout the operative case
