Adjunct Instructor - Biology

We are currently seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach 'Introduction to Biology' (BIO 110) an introductory course (2 lec., 3 lab., 3 cr.) covering the scientific method, basic chemistry, cell biology, structure and function of the vertebrate body, cellular division and genetics. The course is designed for students with little or no academic background in biological sciences and want to pursue a career in the health professions or biology.
Introduction to Biology is regularly taught on both our campuses (Middletown and Newburgh) Fall, Spring, and Summer; both day and evening sections are offered. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the educational field and/or health professions and a passion for teaching. Familiarity with 'Brightspace' or similar instructional platforms would be an additional asset.
Job Requirements:
Education Required: Master's Degree in Biology or related fields.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

Familiar with Brightspace or similar instructional platforms.

Teaching experience.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Bilingual skills.
