Artistic Elements LLC is a creative arts company serving Lower Bucks County, specializing in in-home private music instruction for students of all ages and abilities. We are committed to creating fun, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences that inspire a lifelong love of music.
We are currently seeking passionate Piano and Voice Instructors to join our growing team. This is an independent contractor position that involves traveling to students' homes to provide 30-, 45-, and 60-minute private lessons.
Position Overview
We have immediate openings for instructors who are comfortable teaching beginner piano and voice students. As demand continues to grow, we anticipate schedules filling quickly leading into the fall season.
Our instructors teach using established method books while incorporating supplemental materials and creative teaching techniques that support each student's unique learning style and musical goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualized piano and/or voice lessons.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities, including students with disabilities (if comfortable).
- Monitor student progress and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and respectful teaching environment.
- Travel to students' homes and arrive on time for scheduled lessons. We work to keep instructors within a reasonable geographic area to minimize driving whenever possible.
- Build positive relationships with students and their families through clear and timely communication.
- Respond promptly to emails, phone calls, and text messages.
- Coordinate and manage your own teaching schedule based on your availability—we encourage you to teach as much or as little as your schedule allows.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching piano and/or voice.
- Strong understanding of music theory and effective teaching methods.
- Experience working with children; experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Formal training or certification in music education, music performance, or music therapy is preferred.
- A genuine passion for inspiring students of all ages through music.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Be willing to travel short distances between students' homes.
- Be comfortable working as an Independent Contractor.
- Pass a background check.
- Speak English fluently.
- Read music and possess a solid understanding of basic music theory.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, kindness, confidence, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Be flexible and adaptable in their teaching approach.
- Have a genuine passion for sharing their musical talents with others.
