Western Building Center is excited to expand in Missoula, Montana and we are looking
for hardworking, dependable team members to help build our presence in the

PURPOSE
Support daily lumberyard operations through customer service, material handling,
inventory organization and safe transportation of building materials to customer and
retail locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport building materials to customer and retail locations safely and efficiently
Operate Moffett forklift for accurate placement of materials during deliveries
Load and unload building materials in lumberyard, warehouse, and customer
locations
Assist customers with loading materials in all weather conditions
Assemble lumber packages and fill customer orders accurately
Maintain organization and inventory throughout the lumberyard and warehouse
Perform vehicle and equipment inspections before and after deliveries
Maintain logs of vehicle and equipment repair status
Unload freight from vendors and distributors
Plan and pace work efficiently to meet daily and weekly productivity goals
Follow all company safety procedures and attend required safety meetings
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
Perform other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Knowledge of building materials and company products preferred
Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations
Basic math skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Valid CDL preferred
Clean driving record required
Forklift or Moffett experience preferred, but training may be provided
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 80 pounds
Pre-employment drug test required
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working in all seasons and weather conditions in lumberyard,
warehouse, delivery, and customer site environments.
Employees will frequently:
Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 80 pounds
Operate trucks, forklifts, and delivery equipment
Work outdoors and on customer job sites
Drive local delivery routes up to approximately 100 miles
