Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
- Manage reservations and waitlist using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure efficient table turnover
- Provide attentive service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing guest inquiries promptly
- Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Uphold excellent guest relations by addressing concerns professionally and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting tables and clearing plates
- Support host/hostess duties by answering phone inquiries with professionalism and providing accurate information about the restaurant
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a lively environment
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences is essential
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move comfortably for extended periods throughout shifts
