Our established company is seeking a qualified driver for local deliveries of industrial parts around the DFW metroplex and up to once a week delivery and pickups in the Houston area. Deliveries will be using medium duty flatbed truck and/or trailer. (Most deliveries only require use of our one ton flatbed truck. Others may require the use of our 2020 Freightliner M2 106 with 10 Speed manual transmission and a 34' trailer.)
Key duties of this position:
- Hauling Steel goods on a Flat-Bed Combination Trailer
- Properly securing loads to trailer
- Spot Tarp the trailers in inclement weather
- On-time and accurate delivery of freight
- Following all DOT regulations including log books, pre-trip, and post trip inspections
- Collecting all paperwork required for the load
Hours:
This position is an M-F position with some Saturdays. Hourly pay that will likely require overtime.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a Class A CDL
- At least 3 year tractor/trailer driving experience
- Operate a Fuller 10 speed transmission
- Forklift experience and safely load a flatbed trailer and/or truck.
- Age 21 or older
- No preventable accidents in the last 2 years, and no DOT recordable/preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- No DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years
- No more than 3 moving within the past 3 years
- Criminal Background Check Required
- Able to pass a complete DOT physical, drug screen and road test
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
