Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Survey Technician for a top surveying and engineering consulting client. This candidate will act as the technical lead for survey production, overseeing drafting, mapping, QA/QC, and project coordination efforts while mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Civil 3D, Carlson Civil Suite, and land surveying practices, with the ability to deliver high-quality survey products and support the growth of the survey team. Day to day responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead survey drafting and mapping efforts
- Review field data and prepare survey deliverables
- Develop plats, topographic surfaces, and construction layouts
- Perform QA/QC on team deliverables
- Coordinate schedules and deadlines with PMs
- Mentor junior technicians and support onboarding
- Review legal documents and ensure survey accuracy
- Support process improvements and technical training
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with processing and drafting survey data,
- 3-5 Experience with AUTOCAD (specifically Civil 3D)
- Experience with plats, deeds, legal descriptions, and mapping
- QA/QC review experience
- Construction stakeout and topographic surface experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- PLS/PS license or pursuing licensure
- Site/civil engineering background
- Client-facing experience
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
