Compensation: Estaging begins at $7/hour. After that, Service Training begins at $5/hour + tip share. Average earnings typically exceed $21/hour during training and $25–$40+/hour at full tip share eligibility.
About Us
Kinzo Sushi is a casual fine dining omakase restaurant in Frisco specializing in Edomae-style sushi and elevated Japanese hospitality. We believe exceptional dining experiences are built through attention to detail, teamwork, and genuine care for our guests.
We're seeking hospitality-driven individuals who take pride in professionalism and are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences.
This is not a typical serving position.
Our servers are educators, guides, and ambassadors for the guest experience. Success at Kinzo requires strong menu knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously, and a commitment to anticipating guest needs before they are expressed.
What You'll Do
- Guide guests through our food, beverage, and omakase offerings
- Learn and maintain extensive menu knowledge
- Develop familiarity with sake, cocktails, spirits, and wine
- Read guest body language and facial expressions to anticipate needs
- Manage service timing and coordinate multiple courses seamlessly
- Work closely with sushi chefs, kitchen staff, bartenders, and management
- Set up and maintain dining room and sushi bar areas
- Perform opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities
- Help maintain the high standards that define the Kinzo experience
Who We're Looking For
- Previous serving experience preferred
- Fine dining, sushi, omakase, or upscale hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask while remaining organized and composed
- Team-oriented mindset
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Desire to continuously learn and improve
- Genuine passion for hospitality
We are willing to train exceptional candidates from casual dining backgrounds who demonstrate professionalism, coachability, and a natural instinct for guest service.
Compensation & Growth
Training Progression:
- Initial shadowing/staging period paid at applicable Texas minimum wage
- Service training begins at $5/hour plus tip share
- Servers in training commonly average $21+/hour in total compensation
- Fully trained servers typically average $25–$40+/hour including tips

Schedule
- Part-time position
