Wrapper Operator

Day Shift 6:00am to 6:00pm OR Night Shift 6:00pm to 6:00am
Basic Function: To ensure that all product is wrapped in the proper film, using proper codes.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Positions are subject to change based on performance
Major Function:
- Set up and operate wrapping machine(s)
- Adjust speed of machine to handle product flow
- Ensure orders are filed according to wrap-sheet
- Ensure the proper amount of cartons/baskets are on hand
- Use proper film and code according to wrap-sheet
- Ensure box machine is on and ready before start of production
- Feed racked off products onto line when there is a break in the flow
- Open rewraps
- Ensure catch pans and baskets are emptied of culls, sugar, chocolate, etc.
- End of shift clean-up responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The wrapper operator is an hourly lead person on each production line, general duties are to ensure that there is an orderly process in the wrapping of the products.
- Wrapper operator will ensure that quality products are shipped.
Working Relationships:
- The wrapper operator has a working relationship with all plant management and production employees.
- The wrapper operator reports directly to the production supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up over 50 lbs
- Must be able to read and write basic English
- Ability to reach over head, stoop, bend, walk, reach and stand on feet for full shift
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, as well as the ability to walk on level and uneven surfaces, bend, crouch, kneel, and perform manual functions
