Job Summary
El Camino Women’s Medical Group, a premier OB/GYN practice in Mountain View, is looking for a part time outpatient Triage Registered Nurse. El Camino Women’s Medical Group prides itself on providing an exceptional health care experience for patients.
This position will begin part time at 20 hours per week with the goal of transitioning the role to full time in 6-12 months.
Duties
- Conduct educational phone consultations with newly pregnant obstetric patients, providing guidance on common early pregnancy symptoms, self-care measures, and office protocols for managing routine pregnancy concerns.
- Perform telephone triage for obstetric patients, assessing symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, and other pregnancy-related concerns to determine the appropriate level of care and coordinate timely follow-up.
- Provide patient education on the safe use of medications during pregnancy, including guidance for managing common conditions such as constipation, fever, pain, and cold or flu symptoms in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
- Perform gynecologic telephone triage, evaluating symptoms including abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and contraceptive-related concerns, while providing education and coordinating care as appropriate.
- Review and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results with obstetric and gynecologic patients, explain provider recommendations, answer questions, and coordinate additional testing or follow-up care when indicated.
- Document all patient interactions, clinical assessments, and patient education accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate closely with physicians, non-physician providers, and clinical staff to ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered care.
- Provide injections or additional support to the physicians as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid CA RN license.
- Prefer at least one (1) year of experience in an OB/GYN setting.
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
