Responsibilities
- Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
- Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, and finishing to restore vehicle aesthetics.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to repair or fabricate parts with precision.
- Apply auto painting techniques using airless paint spraying equipment and automotive refinishing methods for a flawless finish.
- Install automotive parts including glass, trim, and other components while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and fabrication repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes and communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision repair environment.
- Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and automotive structural repair.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service principles.
- Hands-on experience with auto painting, auto body refinishing, auto glass installation, and detailing.
- Ability to operate various automotive repair tools including sheet metal tools, sanding equipment, heavy lifting gear, and automotive parts installation tools.
- Prior experience working with automotive cosmetic repair techniques and automotive welding equipment is highly desirable.
