VERY FEW OVERNIGHT DELIVERIES!! MOST DELIVERIES ARE LOCAL!
The Commercial Truck Driver is responsible for their truck and the load on the attached trailer. They are responsible for delivering designated vehicles to the Company’s customers in a safe and timely manner.
Summary: The Commercial Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of vehicles to and from company locations and customer destinations. This role ensures compliance with all DOT regulations, maintains assigned equipment, and delivers a high level of customer service while representing the company on the road.
Essential Duties:

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport vehicles over short and long distances.

Plan and follow efficient delivery routes in coordination with management.

Load, secure, and unload vehicles in accordance with safety standards.

Complete and maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; identify and report maintenance or safety issues.

Refuel, clean, and perform basic upkeep of assigned vehicles.

Report accidents, incidents, or delays promptly and follow established procedures.

Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and DOT regulations.

Maintain accurate driver logs and hours of service in accordance with compliance standards.

Provide professional and courteous customer interactions during deliveries and pickups.

Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and required endorsements.

Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings.

Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming.

Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Must obtain (or be in process of obtaining) commercial driver’s license
-
Must have clean driving record
-
Previous experience preferred
-
Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Must be focused, detail oriented, and very thorough
-
Valid Class A driver’s license required;
-
2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred;
-
Must have clean driving record—at minimum, no more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years and no convictions for a DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving;

Must pass drug test and consent to drug tests as required under federal law;

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time;

Must operate a vehicle safely within DOT regulations that govern safe driving, hours of service, inspection, maintenance, and, if applicable, transportation of hazardous materials;

Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, Clearinghouse, and other DOT/FMCSA-related safety checks.

Failure to sign will prevent this employer from using you as a CMV driver.
