Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate best practices in early childhood education, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Lead daily classroom activities focused on childhood development milestones, behavior management, and social-emotional learning.
- Support toddlers’ care routines by providing nurturing supervision and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, discuss developmental goals, and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to foster a respectful and engaging learning environment.
- Incorporate classroom management strategies to maintain an organized space conducive to active learning and exploration.
- Utilize assessment tools such as standardized testing results to tailor instruction and support each child's growth effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of 21 college credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention techniques, and behavior management approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage a classroom confidently while ensuring child welfare and safety at all times.
- Experience with Montessori methods or private school environments is a plus but not required.
