Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide skilled nursing care to students in a school setting based on individualized healthcare plans.
- Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, rectal, and gastric tube routes as prescribed.
- Perform specialized nursing procedures, including nebulizer and inhaler treatments, tracheostomy care, oral and tracheal suctioning, oxygen administration, catheterization, gastric tube feedings, G-tube care, and dressing changes.
- Monitor and manage students with chronic and acute medical conditions, including seizure disorders and diabetes, while responding promptly to medical emergencies using CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Assess students' health status, document care provided, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective student care.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]:
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred; however, candidates with pediatric experience in the following areas will also be considered: Home Health Pediatrics, Pediatric Clinic/Outpatient Care or Acute Care Pediatrics.
- Active RN license for the state of FL or Multistate license.
- BLS or CPR Certificate.
Pay: $45.00 - $46.00 per hour
