Job Summary:
Meneses Law is seeking a skilled General Accountant to join our dynamic team to contribute to our company’s financial health and success. We are looking for a detailed-oriented and organized General Accountant to support our financial operations. The accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, recording accounting adjustments, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Record and classify financial transactions in accordance to GAAP

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on an accrual basis.

Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.

Perform account analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies.

Prepare and submit various tax forms and reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide financial insights and recommendations.

Assist with annual audit process and provide documentation as required.

Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Stay updated on accounting regulations and practices.

Report financial statements to CPA/Controller and external auditing firms in accordance to GAAP

Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of the employer.

Ability of reading comprehension, writing, speaking to others to convey information effectively, active listening and interpreting instructional documents.

Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective. Identify relevant concerns or factors, patterns, tendencies, and relationships.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize task efficiently.

Self-motivated, goal oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

Principles and procedures of record keeping.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS systems as well as other accounting software programs.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

Understanding and adhering to KPI’s and metrics.

Able to type 45 WPM or more.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Must have 3 years of related experience required.

This position involves regular walking, standing sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.

Occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching
-
May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.

Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

The ability to move and lift items up to 10 pounds.

Earn $70,000
