Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and drive excellence in building comfort and system efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and reliable operation of heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics.
- Diagnose system malfunctions using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; perform necessary repairs or replacements to restore optimal operation.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, HVAC design plans, and mechanical drawings to execute installations or repairs accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, refrigerant recharges (including ammonia refrigeration), system cleaning, and calibration to prevent future failures.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting, leak detection, and drainage troubleshooting.
- Utilize welding skills when necessary for ductwork fabrication or repair; operate other mechanical tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports for accountability and future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to property maintenance, appliance repair, refrigerant handling regulations (including HVAC/R standards), and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a strong background in HVAC service technician roles.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), ductwork schematics, and HVAC design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing systems, equipment repair techniques, welding procedures, and boiler operation.
- Familiarity with field service operations involving troubleshooting complex mechanical issues on-site under time-sensitive conditions.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately; experience with HVAC/R controls and electrical wiring is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of performing appliance repair and equipment maintenance efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transportation between job sites.
- Additional skills such as mechanic experience or specialized training in refrigeration systems will be considered advantageous.

Pay: $25.04 - $30.16 per hour
