The Temporary Warehouse Assistant is responsible for all warehouse functions while ensuring that all shipments are prepared for export in compliance with all rules and regulations. This role also acts a back up to our dispatch team when not available and will handle all dispatch and warehouse receiving functions.
Email/Communication

Respond to internal and external emails timely and in a professional manner

Communicate with vendors and airlines requesting information as needed.

Create, review and Send Pre-alerts to other offices or agents and confirming receipt of alert.

Communicate with other departments on issues or for additional information needed to carry out your job functions

Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous tone
Additional Tasks

Chase agents to obtain weight and dims as needed

Ensure that all shipments go through the weight and dimming machine, If oversized this must be completed manually.

Create booking with airlines to ensure shipments ride on planned flights

Create MAWBS using the current system and confirming accuracy of the data

Bag and label all shipments ensuring all information on the labels are accurate.
TSA Tasks

Ensure that all shipments are screened using either of three methods. (X-ray, ETD or Physical)

Complies with all TSA rules and guidelines while ensuring that all documentation is completed timely such a screening logs and TSA written certs.

Minimum 1 year of prior experience in the logistics field

Proficient with MS Office, Window OS, email and internet usage/research

Data entry and the ability to manipulate data with precision

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
