We are looking for a part-time Chess Instructor to teach during our summer program.

Job Description
Teach our 1st to 6th-grade students the fundamentals of chess, including basic tactics, strategies, and techniques. Our ideal candidate will make this class interactive and fun.
Expected qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience include:
- Two years of chess teaching experience with elementary-level students
- Ability to make chess fun and engaging for all students.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the game of Chess and the rules and regulations
- Have excellent classroom management skills.
- Applicants should be energetic and enthusiastic.
- Encourage positive interpersonal interactions at all times.
- Cultivate an interactive, friendly, and welcoming group dynamic.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to create and teach a two-week chess class
- Create chess learning strategies that will keep students engaged and encourage class participation.
- Promptness, punctuality, and responsible conduct are requirements when working with children.

- 1:30 to 2:30 pm- 4th to 6th Grade
- 2:30 to 3:00 pm- Break (will monitor students during break time)
- 3:00 to 4:00 pm- 1st Grade to 3rd Grade
Pay
$50 per hour
