Job Overview
Faith Leak Detection Services is a small service company that provides hydrant restoration and leak detection for water municipalities throughout the state of Wisconsin. A well-motivated person would have the opportunity for advancement (crew leader, service expansion, etc.).
We have one position for the hydrant team. The crew is responsible to sandblast, prime and paint fire hydrants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively with the team to ensure high-quality results. It’s also important to have good work ethic and discipline to work with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting.
- Operate spray equipment to prime and paint hydrants.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Inspect surfaces before and after to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Take visual survey of surroundings to avoid any damage from blasting or overspray.
- Read street maps to locate hydrants.

Benefits
- Wage: $16-20 based on experience
- Per-diem pay: $50 per overnight

Requirements
- Valid driver's license - required (good driving record)
- Ability to work out of town (state-wide) 65% of the time – required
- Work schedule
- Goal is four 10-hour days Monday – Thursday (with a full team)
- Schedule flexibility for rain days (as weather dictates)
- Friday or Saturday (overtime) occasionally to finish up a job
- Experience with a paint gun – a plus, not required
- Ability to lift 80 pounds (paint buckets and bags of sand) a plus, not required
- Professional workmanship
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Good communication – take directions well
- Ability to squat and kneel regularly
