## Role Adjustments: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMStructuring a valet trash service into a standard Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule changes how the workflow operates. Typically, valet trash collection occurs in the evenings (e.g., 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM) after residents place their bins out.
However, running a daytime valet model (or a hybrid daytime collection/groundskeeping model) means adjusting collection rules for residents—such as having them place trash out during specific morning hours, or focusing the daytime valet hours on commercial/retail spaces, common area sweeps, and doorstep pickups for home-based residents.
## Weekly Schedule & Routine
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Daily Time Allocation:
- Groundskeeping & Common Areas (Mornings): Focused litter sweeps, dumpster management, and breezeway upkeep while foot traffic is light.
- Daytime Valet Trash & Hallways (Mid-day/Afternoons): Doorstep trash collection rounds, emptying dog stations, and hallway maintenance.
## Daily Responsibilities (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Morning Groundskeeping (approx. 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
- Complete a comprehensive property-wide litter sweep of parking lots, landscaping, sidewalks, and amenity areas (pool, clubhouse, playground).
- Empty all common-area trash receptacles, dog waste stations, and laundry room bins. Replace liners and sanitize bins as needed.
- Clear debris, leaves, and cobwebs from breezeways, stairwells, and building entry points using a leaf blower or broom.
- Valet Trash Collection & Doorstep Service (approx. 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM):
- Execute daily doorstep trash collection rounds based on community guidelines (e.g., collecting from residents who work from home or managing scheduled bulk/valet pickups).
- Transport waste securely to the main property compactor or dumpster enclosure using a valet cart or utility vehicle.
- Break down flattened cardboard boxes and keep the compactor area clean and organized.
- Hallway & Misc. Maintenance (approx. 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
- Spot-clean hallway floors, clean up any leaks or drips from collection bins, and remove trash or debris left in public corridors.
- Conduct a final walkthrough of the property to check for illegal dumping, overflowing bins, or maintenance issues (e.g., burnt-out exterior lighting).
- Submit daily activity logs and maintenance reports to the property manager before end-of-shift.
## Requirements & Qualifications
- Schedule Availability: Reliable commitment to a standard full-time daytime schedule (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to walk long distances, climb multiple flights of stairs repeatedly, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Professional Presentation: Represent the property well during daytime hours while interacting directly with residents.
