Audio Visual Technician – Full Time
Wisconsin Audio Video is seeking full-time, on-site Audio Visual Technicians to join our growing team. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the commercial audiovisual industry, whether you are entering the field as an apprentice or already have prior AV installation experience.
At Wisconsin Audio Video, you will work with advanced commercial audio, video, LED display, and sensory media systems used in corporate boardrooms, training facilities, hospitality environments, retail spaces, and other high-end commercial applications. Position Overview
Based on experience level, technicians will lead or assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of commercial-grade AV systems. Responsibilities include installing and servicing audiovisual equipment, running and terminating low-voltage cabling, mounting displays and hardware, troubleshooting system issues, and working from system drawings and documentation.
Technicians work closely with project managers, programmers, and engineers to deliver high-quality installations that meet company standards and client expectations. Additional responsibilities may include client system orientation, job-site organization, and maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
Experienced Candidates
Experienced candidates should possess prior experience in commercial audiovisual installation, low-voltage integration, structured cabling, electrical, networking, or related technical trades.
A working knowledge of commercial AV systems is preferred, including:
- Commercial displays and LED video walls
- Projection systems
- Professional audio systems
- Video conferencing platforms
- AV control systems
- Network-based AV technologies
Candidates with experience using platforms such as QSC, Biamp, Shure, Extron, Crestron, or similar professional AV systems are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates should be comfortable interpreting system drawings, troubleshooting technical issues, and completing projects with minimal supervision.
