ROLE SUMMARY: The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the set-up, breakdown, and overall cleanliness of banquet and meeting spaces to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role supports banquet operations by maintaining equipment, linens, and service areas while upholding Stockyard Station’s commitment to Legendary Service and authentic Texas hospitality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Set up, clean, and maintain banquet and meeting rooms in accordance with company standards and event requirements.
Break down and reset function spaces in a timely and organized manner, ensuring all equipment and supplies are returned to the proper location.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces, service areas, and storage rooms; follow clean-as-you-go procedures throughout shift.
Care for and properly store banquet equipment, furniture, and linens, reporting any maintenance needs to leadership.
Assist banquet servers and other team members to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth event execution.
Transport linens to appropriate areas for cleaning and restock shelves with clean supplies as needed.
Communicate effectively with banquet team, culinary, and leadership to anticipate and support guest needs.
Follow all safety, security, and uniform standards while protecting hotel assets.
All other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods of time.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance, and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs with assistance.
Ability to push, pull, and transport banquet equipment and furniture across uneven or sloping surfaces.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in banquet or hospitality operations preferred, but not required.
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills; willingness to assist wherever needed.
Flexible schedule — must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1–2 years of prior experience as a banquet houseperson or in a similar hospitality support role.
Familiarity with event setups, banquet equipment, and basic AV support.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
