Job Summary:
Maryland Health Alliance is seeking a motivated and culturally competent Bilingual Mental Health Therapist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to diverse age groups within agency, home, and school-based settings across Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Prince George's County. The ideal candidate will be a licensed clinician proficient in both English and Spanish, dedicated to conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating effectively with clients and their support systems to achieve therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities:
Direct Clinical Service:
- Provide agency and community-based behavioral health services to all age groups (children, adolescents, adults).
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments (diagnostic/psychosocial) to identify client needs and formulate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement initial and subsequent individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and their support system, focusing on supportive counseling.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely clinical reports related to therapeutic services, including progress notes and treatment plans, consistent with Agency standards.
- Maintain organized and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate effectively with the client, their PRP Counselor, and Psychiatrist (if applicable) to holistically address mental health issues.
- Discuss client progress or lack thereof with relevant parties to ensure coordinated care and facilitate supportive therapeutic services toward treatment goals.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as requested to ensure continuous professional growth and adherence to best practices.
- Demonstrate a willingness to conduct oneself professionally and ethically in all aspects of practice.
- Maintain independent professional liability insurance.
- Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations governing mental health practice.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid and active Maryland license: LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC, or LMFT.
- Have demonstrated experience in an outpatient mental health setting.
- Willingness and ability to provide services in home and school-based settings, requiring travel within the designated counties.
- Language: Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
- Professional Insurance: Must possess and maintain independent professional liability insurance.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient with office technology, required software programs (e.g., EHR systems), and equipment applicable to the job.
- Availability: Availability to work some evenings and weekends is required to meet client needs.
- Clinical Skills: Strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and ability to build rapport with diverse client populations and their support systems.
- Cultural Competency: Demonstrated ability to provide culturally sensitive and responsive care.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
