Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and practicing courteous phone etiquette
- Support store operations through inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising tasks
- Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking and merchandising
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a friendly demeanor
