Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be proficient in various dental procedures. This role requires expertise in general dentistry, including dental extractions, oral surgery, and the ability to effectively utilize dental terminology and medical documentation. The Dentist will work closely with patients to diagnose and treat oral health issues while ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate may be Spanish-speaking with hygienist experience and willing to be flexible as work schedule may change.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to determine the oral health status of patients.
- Conduct various dental procedures including dental extractions, oral surgeries, and restorative treatments.
- Fabricate dental appliances and prosthetics as needed for patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions and treatments.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in general dentistry procedures including but not limited to dental extractions, oral surgery, and fabrication of dental appliances.
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
