Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and confidence
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments will help you excel in this role
