Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and gentle Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team on a part-time basis. We offer flexible scheduling during our standard business operating days (Monday through Thursday), making this an ideal role for someone seeking a strong work-life balance with 3-day weekends every week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including non-surgical periodontal therapy (scaling and root planing) and periodontal maintenance.
- Take clear digital X-rays and evaluate patient oral health status.
- Maintain strict adherence to all OSHA, CDC, and infection control/sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Educate patients on optimal oral hygiene habits, periodontal disease management, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate effectively with the periodontist and administrative team to maintain smooth daily scheduling.
Qualifications & Skills
- License: Active Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license required.
- Certifications: Active PA Dental X-ray Certification required.
- Experience: Previous clinical dental hygiene experience preferred (periodontal office experience is a strong plus!).
- Software Skills: Familiarity with Open Dental practice management software and Dexis digital imaging software is a definite plus.
- Compliance: Strong working knowledge of OSHA guidelines, sterilization, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
- Soft Skills: Warm clinical demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Supportive team member that will work well and communicate with both clinical and non clinical staff.
