We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced dental practice environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
- Take and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Sterilize dental instruments following OSHA guidelines
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar systems
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently
Qualifications
- Certification in Dental Assisting required
- Proficiency in Prosthodontics procedures preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with Open dental or similar dental practice management software
- Experience with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Ability to take X-Rays and operate radiographic equipment in compliance with state regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
