Job Summary
The F&B Manager will lead all food and beverage operations at the facility, including the café/bar area, concessions, and event catering for leagues, tournaments, clinics, and private bookings. This role blends day-to-day hospitality operations with a strong sense of community-building, ensuring every guest has a great experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Manage daily operations of the on-site café/bar, snack and beverage service, and concessions
- Develop a menu suited to an active, social clientele (quick bites, healthy options, coffee, smoothies, beer/wine/cocktails where applicable)
- Ensure fast, friendly service that keeps pace with peak activity times
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and flow of the F&B area
Events & Community
- Coordinate F&B for leagues, tournaments, clinics, member socials, and private rentals/parties
- Partner with the events/programming team to create food & drink experiences for special events (happy hours, tournament nights, member mixers)
- Support sponsorship or pop-up collaborations with local food/beverage vendors
Staff Management
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise baristas, bartenders, and F&B staff
- Build a team that reflects a welcoming, community-first culture
- Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching
Financial Management
- Manage F&B budget, vendor relationships, and inventory/ordering
- Monitor cost of goods, pricing, and margins across food and beverage offerings
- Track sales trends tied to facility usage, leagues, and events to optimize offerings and staffing
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations and food safety standards
- Maintain proper licensing for alcohol service (if applicable)
- Uphold safety and sanitation protocols in food prep and service areas
Qualifications
Required
- 2–4+ years of F&B management experience (cafés, bars, restaurants, or hospitality/sports & entertainment venues)
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, member-facing environment
- Basic financial acumen (budgeting, inventory, cost control)
Preferred
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)
- Experience in a gym, sports club, country club, or similar membership-based venue
- Experience with POS and inventory systems
Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
