About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician I to keep production equipment and facility systems running safely and reliably. This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic control systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on production and facility equipment
- Diagnose equipment issues using schematics, manuals, meters, gauges, and other tools
- Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, pumps, valves, sensors, wiring, controls, and other components
- Assist with PLC and VFD troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility maintenance
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and identify opportunities to reduce recurring failures and downtime
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and parts records
- Follow lockout/tagout, confined space, and other required safety procedures
- Work with production, engineering, vendors, and contractors to support plant maintenance needs
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, tools, and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or an associate degree in a related field is a plus
- 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or commercial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including low- and high-voltage systems
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, basic controls, prints, and schematics
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, boilers, water treatment, welding, fabrication, or similar plant systems
- Familiarity with CMMS, preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and reliability practices
- Strong safety awareness, communication skills, and ability to handle changing maintenance priorities
- Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus
- Ability to work occasional weekends and travel less than 10%
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50+ pounds and perform physical maintenance work including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, working at heights, and entering confined spaces.
Pay: $65.00 - $85.00 per hour
