Position Title: Wildlife Recreation Guide
Reports to: Wildlife Management Team
Department: Wildlife, Recreation, & Equine
Status: Part-Time or Full-Time (depending on business needs)
This role requires a high level of guest interaction and the ability to confidently execute and teach the wide array of activities available across the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Activity Leadership: Knowledgeably and safely lead guests through all recreational activities, including but not limited to:
- Adventure Activities: Climbing Wall, Zipline, Tomahawk Throwing, and Archery.
- Wildlife & Nature: Guided Fishing, Hayrides, Children Train Rides, Nature Trail hikes, and Wildlife Tours.
- Equine/Petting Corral: Pony Rides and daily animal care/cleaning for the Petting Corral.
- Sports: Assisting with Top Tracer (Golf Driving Range) and other recreational games.
- Five-Star Service: Ensure that exceptional hospitality is delivered in every interaction, maintaining our 5-star standards (HUUGGS).
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Assist in all departmental activities as business levels dictate, including managing resort fee activities.
- Care and Maintenance: Perform daily care, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on all recreation and equine equipment to ensure guest safety and operational readiness.
- Administrative & Team Work: Attend weekly departmental meetings and maintain strong organizational and clear communication skills.
Job Requirements (What You'll Need)
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- License: Possess a Valid Class C Driver's License (required).
- Professionalism: Maintain professional mannerisms and appearance while easily adapting to changes in schedules and daily functions.
- Communication: Capability of interfacing directly and indirectly with guests in a clear, concise, and patient manner. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English very clearly.
- Safety Focus: Ability to immediately identify and address safety issues without hesitation.
- Availability: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as proper attendance is critical for the success of this position. You can expect to work most weekends.
