Overview
A Boys & Girls Club Youth Development Professional (YDP) plans, implements, and supervises engaging programs for youth, focusing on health & well-being, character & leadership, academic success, and life & workforce readiness. They maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment, fostering mentorship and behavior management for school-aged members while ensuring high-quality program outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, manage, and maintain various programs and program areas.
- Supervise Club activities and spaces including, but not limited to snack area, games room, and gym.
- Encourage a positive environment for all individuals to learn, interact, and grow.
- Create, plan, and conduct activities for youth utilizing a monthly schedule.
- Collaborate with other staff to schedule academic enrichment activities and programs.
- Implement fun, quality programs for youth.
- Teach the rules of playing common games and activities such as pool, card games, board games, basketball, soccer, etc.
- Assist with guidance and discipline with Club members.
- Submit all required reports on time and in good order.
- Assist with organization and maintaining all program areas.
- Build positive relationships with youth, volunteers, and parents.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with Club and community special events as needed.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pay: $12.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
