Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment, ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and adherence to OSHA safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including order pickers, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and cranes, to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate placement of goods in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in heavy equipment operation is required.
- Familiarity with distribution center operations and warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards in a warehouse environment is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
