Osborne Bearing Technologies is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our growing team in Houston. This position is ideal for someone with a strong machining background who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components while working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate conventional manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and route cards.
- Set up workpieces and machining operations safely and accurately.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
- Perform fitting, deburring, tapping, reaming, and assembly work as required.
- Assist with material preparation including shot blasting, grinding, painting, and lapping.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Support other shop operations as needed.
Qualifications Required
- Previous machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating conventional/manual machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Precision engineering experience.
- Bearing manufacturing experience.
- Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on machining experience.
- Surface grinding or fitting experience.
