Located in the heart of Koreatown, NYC, our dual-concept shop brings together two distinct food culture destinations under one roof: Salt Bread Ko, famous for its viral, freshly baked Korean-style salt bread with crisp golden crusts and buttery centers, and Sundaes Best, specializing in small-batch gelatos and vibrant sorbets infused with traditional Korean flavors.

As a Team Member, you will play a central role in delivering an unforgettable experience to our guests across both concept counters—whether you are serving a warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven batch of bread or crafting a custom scoop of gelato.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Experience: Greet guests warmly, guide them through our bakery and gelato menus, offer flavor samples, and make helpful recommendations.
- POS & Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions using the POS system (cash, credit, and mobile payments) and support opening/closing cash reconciliation.
- Food & Dessert Assembly: Package freshly baked salt bread neatly and master the presentation standards for scooping gelatos, sorbets, and building orders.
- Front-of-House Maintenance: Keep register areas, display cases, counter surfaces, and dining spaces clean, sanitized, and well-organized throughout the shift.
- Restocking & Inventory: Restock retail items, packaging supplies, pastries, gelato tubs, and toppings as needed.
- Team Communication: Collaborate smoothly with kitchen, bakery, and floor staff to maintain efficient workflow during peak rushes.
- Standards & Compliance: Strictly adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Preferred 1+ year of prior experience in food service, bakery, retail, or cashiering preferred, but we will train candidates with exceptional work ethic.
- Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, outgoing personality with strong verbal communication skills and a team-first mindset.
- Physical & Operational Stamina: Comfortable standing for extended periods, working efficiently under fast-paced rush conditions, and lifting up to 30 lbs (restocking supplies/gelato tubs).
- Technical & Math Skills: Comfortable operating POS cash registers and handling basic math/cash calculations.
- Passions: An interest in bakeries, artisanal ice cream, or Asian-inspired food culture is a strong plus.
