Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery in a limestone quarry, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Duties
- Operate heavy mobile equipment including front-end loaders, bulldozers, .excavators, crushers and screening units
- Manage the operation of water trucks and roll-off trucks to transport materials as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation with experience with loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, crushers and water trucks.
- Strong understanding of construction site protocols and safety measures.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures at all times.
