Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and responsible CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) drivers with Class A License "P" Endorsement, to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate various types of commercial vehicles, including motor coaches, transit vans, and shuttle buses, providing safe and reliable transportation services. Your primary focus will be ensuring passenger safety, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining compliance with all transportation safety regulations. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as motor coaches, transit vans, and shuttle buses following all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure mechanical integrity and safety standards are met
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including providing special needs assistance when required
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch.
- Navigate city streets efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations
- Ensure passenger safety by enforcing safety protocols, managing passenger behavior, and responding appropriately in adverse weather conditions
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including logs for vehicle inspections, passenger counts, and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid CDL license with appropriate endorsements such as air brake certification and passenger transport credentials
- Proven experience driving commercial vehicles like motor coaches, school buses, or shuttle shuttles; delivery driver experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, state transportation regulations, and transportation safety standards
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective interaction with passengers and team members
- Demonstrated defensive driving skills with a clean driving record
- Experience driving in adverse weather conditions and navigating city streets confidently
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to assist passengers of all needs, including those with special requirements
