Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
- Repair and maintain various engine types, including gasoline and diesel engines, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and implement effective repairs.
- Conduct wheel alignments, steering, suspension, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to optimize vehicle safety features.
- Use power tools and hand tools skillfully for mechanical repairs such as engine overhaul, transmission work, and powertrain servicing.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks safely while handling vehicle components during maintenance or repair procedures.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and communicate findings clearly with team members and customers.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or equivalent in a fast-paced automotive repair environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive engine systems, including internal combustion engines and powertrain components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams interpretation, and diagnostics tools.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, and heavy-duty diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical repair skills across a broad spectrum of vehicles, including standard passenger cars and GM vehicles preferred.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize automotive diagnostic software efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair solutions.
