Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) working from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM! Responsibilities
- Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor vital signs, record medical information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, and report any changes in condition promptly.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff on patient care plans within medical-surgical, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care settings.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required; active license preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring behavioral health support.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical terminology.
- Prior experience in long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or urgent care clinics.
