JOB Manage and perform the tasks necessary to ensure proper cleansing and sanitation of food service equipment from various catering events within the scope of the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center. Requires a basic knowledge of food-handling standards and sanitation practices. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential and other responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions:

Perform the duties of the Dishwasher of the Catering Group according to company standards.

Maintain a clean workstation, including sanitizing equipment, washing dishes, and following all company rules and procedures.

Ensuring all dishes and service equipment are washed, sanitized, and dried, according to company standards.

Maintaining a steady flow in the workspace and organization of dishes, glasses, utensils, and necessary service equipment.

Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish for culinary use.

Maintain compliance with all sanitation regulations to include daily cleaning and organization of all service areas.

Meet with the J.E. Broyhill Catering Group management team.
Marginal Functions:

Ensure all service areas required by customers are prepared and presented as contracted, including the set-up, breakdown, and clean-up for each event(buffet, place settings, chafers, bar, linens, etc.).

Participate in professional development activities and required employee training. (Ex. acquire ServSafe Certification)

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Experience: Enrolled in a Culinary Arts program or one year experience is preferred.
Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required. ServSafe certification preferred.
