Nebraska Urology is growing!! We are looking to add a new position to an already amazing oncology team. The Oncology Infusion RN will provide direct patient nursing care for specified patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Oncology therapies may include administration through port / central line, intravesical instillation, and IM or SQ injections.
Starting wage is $30 - $34 an hour based on experience.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Performs nursing assessments and triage of patient care needs for new and ongoing patients, including patients on a clinical research study.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to the physician. Dispenses medication as directed.
- Works with physician and clinical research department to facilitate, coordinate and ensure patient access to Clinical Trials.
- Oversees planning, scheduling, and implementation of day-to-day clinical activities and procedures. Maintains timely flow of patients.
- Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Track order completion and follow up. Monitor patient compliance with patient treatment plan.
- Maintains interaction with medical, nursing, ancillary services, and clinical research coordinator in the planning and implementation of patient care.
- Provides education to patients, families, and significant others; acts as an information resource to students, health care professionals, patients, and the public.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: One year of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred. Prefer experience in urology and/or oncology.
Certificate/License: Possession of a Nebraska State Registered Nurse License that is valid and good standing. CPR certification.
