Pay: $50-$100 per class, based on class attendance (our current studio average is about 7 students per class, with fuller classes at the higher end of the range).
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Group Fitness Instructor specializing in Pilates, Yoga Sculpt, and Strength training to join our dynamic fitness team. In this role, you will lead engaging, safe, and effective group fitness classes that motivate members to achieve their health and wellness goals. Your expertise will inspire participants of all fitness levels, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes physical activity, personal growth, and community connection. Responsibilities
- Lead high-energy group fitness classes in Pilates, Yoga Sculpt, Strength training, and other related disciplines, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Design and adapt class routines to accommodate various skill levels and individual needs while maintaining class flow and engagement.
- Demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively, providing modifications and hands-on guidance when necessary to promote correct body mechanics.
- Motivate participants through positive coaching, fostering a supportive environment that encourages persistence and achievement.
- Ensure all classes adhere to health and safety standards, including first aid readiness, CPR certification, AED operation, and manual handling procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients to understand their goals, provide personalized advice, and promote ongoing participation in fitness programs.
- Stay current with industry trends such as CrossFit, heavy lifting techniques, biomechanics, physiology knowledge, and program design to continually enhance class quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching group fitness classes with certifications in Pilates instruction, Yoga instruction, or related disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, body mechanics, and exercise science principles.
- Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator), first aid, and manual handling are required.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate diverse groups through coaching techniques rooted in fitness customer service excellence.
- Experience with personal training or sports coaching is a plus; familiarity with gym environments or health clubs is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct exercise routines clearly while ensuring participant safety.
- Physical fitness training background including dancing or sports coaching experience is desirable for dynamic class delivery.
