What You'll Do: Responsibilities of a Delivery Driver
As a Delivery Driver - Non CDL, you'll start and end your day at our Amazon warehouse location, loading and delivering packages throughout your community.
● Pick up pre-sorted packages each morning from the warehouse and deliver them to customers
● Safely operate your Amazon-branded delivery vehicle following all traffic laws and Company policies
● Navigate your delivery route using a company-provided smartphone with GPS
● Load and unload packages in your delivery vehicle at the warehouse and throughout your route
● Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
● Handle packages up to 50 lbs., getting in and out of the van repeatedly throughout the day
● Work independently while being part of a motivated team to complete all delivery routes
● Communicate effectively with your support team using handheld technology for package scanning, clocking in/out, and coordination
● Support the team by assisting other drivers with their routes when needed
● Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain delivery vehicle standards
● Deliver packages on time while providing excellent customer service in all weather conditions
Delivery Driver Requirements: Non CDL
● Must be at least 21 years old
● Must hold a valid, non-provisional, unrestricted driver's license (Non CDL driver's license is okay)
● Authorized to work in the United States
● Must have a valid, clean driving record and maintain safe driving practices
● Must pass a 4-Panel Drug Screening (does not include pre-employment testing for marijuana)
● Good English speaking, reading, and writing/communication skills
● Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift packages up to 50 lbs.
● Commercial, DOT, or CDL driving experience is a plus but not required
Equipment Provided for Delivery Drivers
● Amazon-branded delivery vehicle with gas and insurance covered
● Handheld technology for GPS navigation and package management
● Uniforms
● Safety and administrative gear necessary for job accomplishment
