Mechanic / Maintenance Technician – Moundsville, WV
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild, repair, and install mechanical systems such as gearboxes, hydraulic components, pumps, and related equipment while performing routine preventative maintenance to reduce failures and downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out effective, timely repairs using power tools, hoists, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment safely.
- Use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and alignment tools while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete work orders, collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks, and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have a minimum of three years of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment repair experience and be proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
- They must demonstrate strong mechanical abilities—including welding, fabrication, and basic plumbing—and be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals with a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied environmental conditions, and apply excellent troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.
- A strong commitment to safety, reliability, and consistent adherence to company standards is essential.
BENEFITS/SCHEDULE
- This full‑time role pays $25–$28 per hour with a minimum of 40 hours per week and includes 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
- The schedule consists of 8‑hour shifts Monday through Friday with overtime, rotating shifts, and weekend availability as needed.
- Candidates must be able to work the day shift and optionally the night shift.
