(RCM) Specialist – Billing Specialist
Full-Time Employment (Remote) 40 Hours 9:30am- 6pm-M-W (THURS/FRIDAY - 8am-4:30PM)

Deep Centered Mental Health is a psychotherapy practice in Texas that provides a wide range of psychological services through a team of more than 200 clinicians. In order to keep our clinical work running smoothly, we need experts who can scrupulously help us ensure the accuracy of all things related to our billing. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mental health care and can help meet some of the unmet billing management needs of our growing practice.
Position Overview: The Revenue Cycle Client Collections Specialist is responsible for managing the collection of outstanding payments from clients. This role involves handling billing inquiries, contacting patients for payment, negotiating payment plans pursuant to our policies, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments. This role also sorts mail batches, uploads 835's, post payment check payments, assist with posting insurance payments and any other area needed within the RCM department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients regarding their account and ensure accurate charges and insurance are entered.
- Collect new insurance information and payment information for patients
- Establish payment plans with clients, pursuant to our policies
- Issue and track refunds, pursuant to our policies
- Assist with mail sorting, searching for missing payments, posting patient payments sent in via check, posting manual insurance checks
- Resolve any concerns patient have regarding understanding balances, insurance charges, copayments and deduitbles
- Communicate with patient via phone, email and patient portal
- Research and investagate account discrpencies with balances, copayments, charges and bring solutions to managment.
- Identify patients that require transition to the Patient Experience team to resolve matters
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare office setting
- Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare billing
- Knowledge of insurance benefits and able to explain to patients
- Superior Customer Service skills
- Knowledge of EOB and ERA terminology
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent attentiveness to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skill
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the mental health field (preferred)
