This opening is for a Part-Time position as a Service Advisor / Customer Service Representative (Entry-Level) at an automotive repair shop, potential to turn full-time as we grow.
We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated person to join our diesel repair shop as a Part-Time Service Advisor / Customer Service Representative. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to learn the automotive service industry from experienced professionals.
This is an entry-level position with room to grow. You'll work alongside our senior service advisor, who will handle the more technical aspects of the job while helping you learn the business.
What You'll Do
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and confidently
- Greet customers and make them feel welcome
- Check customers in and gather vehicle information
- Create repair orders and write up service tickets
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
- Schedule appointments
- Assist with general front office and administrative tasks
- Check rental vehicles in and out
- Perform basic vehicle condition inspections during check-in and check-out
- Identify and document immediate maintenance concerns, such as worn tires, warning lights, fluid leaks, or visible damage, and communicate those items to the appropriate team member
- Contribute to general cleanliness of the shop and office, emptying trash bins, sweeping, etc.
- Any tasks decided to be helpful by management
- Help provide a smooth, positive customer experience from start to finish

- Ability to work Saturdays is required.
- Basic automotive knowledge or familiarity with vehicle components
- You don't need to be a mechanic, but you should understand common automotive parts and terminology. For example, if a customer says their alternator failed or they're having steering or brake issues, you should have a general idea of what they're describing. You should know the difference between pads and rotors, a wheel and a tire, etc.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer and basic typing skills
- Attention to detail when inspecting and documenting vehicle condition
