Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history intake, and diagnostic evaluation.
- Administer injections, medications, and perform procedures such as suturing and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient safety.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of medical records, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and data management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, infectious disease care, and hospice & palliative medicine to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state certification.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in physical examinations, patient assessment, medication administration (including injection techniques), and airway management.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
- Be able to do Prior Authorizations for medications
