I. Job Summary
The Die-cast Operator is responsible for safely producing high-quality die-cast lead parts in accordance with company standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
II. Scope
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to achieve production goals.
- Be self-motivated, work well with other people and departments
- Support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, which may include overtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times.
III. Major Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor die-casting and related production equipment.
- Perform quality checks using operator instructions and visual inspection methods.
- Accurately complete production reports, including scrap and downtime tracking.
- Identify and handle raw materials according to the bill of materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding quality issues or equipment concerns.
- Report and contain non-conforming products to prevent contamination.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and corrective action activities.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously and provide coverage for additional machines during breaks.
- Perform rework or secondary operations as required.
IV. Additional Duties
- Follow all work instructions and suggest improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive measures.
- Support other production tasks within skill level, including small assembly or welding operations.
- Take responsibility for stopping processes when product quality or safety is compromised.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
V. Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and understand operator instructions and production documentation.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurement).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60lbs
- Physically able to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel for 8 hours.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
