Oxi Fresh of North Chicago is a locally owned carpet and upholstery cleaning business built on Oxi Fresh's low-moisture, oxygenated encapsulation cleaning system, faster drying, no soapy residue, and a genuinely different result than the hot-water-extraction outfits most people are used to.

The Role
We're hiring a Carpet Cleaning Technician to work primarily alongside the Operations Manager on larger residential and commercial jobs. You'll learn the trade on real commercial accounts from day one, working side by side with someone who's been doing this and building client relationships in this market.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Oxi Fresh's encapsulation cleaning equipment for carpet and upholstery jobs
- Assist the Operations Manager on larger commercial and residential jobs, learning site assessment, job sequencing, and client-facing communication.
- Apply Oxi Fresh's cleaning chemistry correctly and safely, including spot treatment and odor elimination for hard surface and carpet work
- Handle physical demands of the job: lifting equipment, kneeling, standing and moving through job sites for extended periods
- Keep equipment and the company van clean, stocked, and job-ready after every appointment
- Represent Oxi Fresh professionally with clients, answering questions and flagging additional service opportunities back to the team
- Follow all safety protocols for product handling and equipment operation
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to lift cleaning equipment and work extended periods on your feet
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working directly with clients in their homes and businesses
- Smartphone and basic comfort with digital communications and scheduling platforms.
- No experience required. We'll train you! A strong work ethic and coachability are critical for success in this role.
- Availability that can flex around larger commercial jobs, including some non-standard hours, as needed
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
